Bengaluru: MP Renukacharya has started a signature campaign along with like-minded MLAs, to seek the termination of the multiple posts of Deputy Chief Minister (DCM) in the state cabinet.

Renukacharya, who is also the Parliamentary Secretary to CM BS Yediyurappa, started collecting signatures of MLAs who are known for their loyalty to Yediyurappa.

According to sources, Renukacharya is planning to approach the party’s national leadership, seeking cancellation of DCM posts in the state following a controversy that B Sreeramulu and Ramesh Jarakiholi are also seeking DCM berths.

Presently, the BSY-led government has three DCMs and it is said that they may go in for a few more DCM posts in order to pacify the rebel MLAs within the party.
