Bengaluru: Law does not differentiate between legislators and commoners and violators have to face the music if they are ever found to be on the erring side.
In such an instance, BJP MP Pratap Simha, who was probably off on a joy ride with his daughter, courted trouble after posting a picture of him riding the bike sans the helmet on a social media page. The photo, that was uploaded on Twitter on March 18 did not go unobserved by a Bengaluru resident, who lodged a complaint of traffic rule violation on the ‘Public Eye’ app of Bengaluru traffic police.

‘Riding without a helmet, that too with a baby. Additionally, the photo has been publicly displayed,” read his complaint.
The cops were quick to act on the complaint and the MP was fined Rs 100/- for his offense on March 19.
