Mysuru: The City Police investigating into the shootout case at a jewellery shop in Vidyaranyapuram have arrested a Mumbai native on the charges of supplying a pistol to armed thief who gunned down a youth.
The incident took place at Amruth Gold and Silver Palace on August 23. Vidyaranyapuram Police have already arrested three from Mumbai, Pune and Jammu and Kashmir regions. Three more were arrested in the case including another jeweller from the City who had hired the gang on supari.
On Tuesday morning Mumbai based Rajan was arrested for supplying the pistol to this gang. He had sold the weapon for Rs. 50,000. Vidyaranyapuram Police inspector Raju arrested Rajan. Few others who are suspected to be involved in the case, are absconding. The investigation is on.
