ndrf mainBengaluru: An NDRF team is expected to visit the flood-hit district of Kodagu to make an estimate of the loss suffered, on Monday, September 10.

According to Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha, who is presently camping in Madikeri to put the final touches on the preparations to receive the central team, said that the team’s visit schedule is expected to be finalised on Sunday.

According to sources, the team is likely to visit the landslide hit areas of the Sakleshapur as well as Alur in Hassan. “Former prime minister HD Deve Gowda is urging the central home ministry to send the team to his home district too. This team is likely to carry out an aerial survey followed by spot visit. After the spot visit, the team will hold a discussion with the district administration. Later the team will likely hold a meeting with the state government in Bengaluru,” the sources added.

Pratap Simha also announced that he will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with union minister DV Sadananda Gowda, to seek an early release of funds for the devastated Kodagu district.
