Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister M. Veerappa Moily said that NEET is causing injustice to the students from South India.
Speaking to mediapersons here in the City, he said that there is an urgent need to review the NEET system.
“When I was the CM, we introduced the CET system where medical seats were made available for all the meritorius based on their merit. But NEET affected this system forcing the students to join courses in the foreign countries,” he said.
Moily is the first leader from the State to raise voice against the NEET. It can be recalled that all the southern states are opposing the NEET citing disadvantages caused by the examination for the medical seat aspirants from the rural areas.
