NEET exams to be held on May 7?

Bengaluru: The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi is likely to held on May 7.

The national level examination NEET 2017 (previously known as AIPMT) is the undergraduate level examination conducted for admission to Medical courses such as MBBS/BDS.

The last date for submission of applications will be January 23.

The state department of higher education has not received any information on NEET exam schedule till date. However, a senior official confirmed that the exam will be held on the first Sunday of May. Students seeking entry into Medical and dental colleges have to pass NEET to gain eligibility to enter Medical and dental colleges based on  the Supreme Court order. The NEET question paper consists 180 multiple choice questions.

State government to urge for Inclusion of Kannada question paper.

Medical education minister Dr.Sharanprakash Patil said, the state government will write to centre seeking inclusion of Kannada question paper.

The central government has assured of including 8 different languages but Knnada is not included. The state plans to urge centre to give option to write NEET exams both in Kannada and English.

The state chief minister Siddaramaiah had aired similar views while attending the commemorative coin release function at the University of Mysuru on December 23.
