Bengaluru: The state legislators will be deprived of free dinner and travel benefits during the assembly winter session starting on November 21 in Belagavi as the Assembly Speaker has asked the legislators to make their own arrangements.
The legislators will be provided accommodation at Belagavi, Hubballi and Dharwad respectively but will not be provided free transport facilities. However, the legislators can avail travel allowance and make their own transport arrangements.
Hotels where legislators will be accommodated will provide breakfast and the Suvarna Soudha where the winter session will take place will provide lunch. However, legislators have to make their own dinner arrangements.
Personal assistants/secretaries and other security personnel accompanying legislators will not be given accommodation and travel facilities. Hence, legislators have been asked to attend the session without aides by the speaker K B Koliwad.
