Bengaluru: The state government has decided not to allow any mobile installation around 50-meter radius of any school, college or hospital.
A meeting chaired by the DCM Dr. G Parameshwar in the presence of urban development minister UT Khader decided to issue a notification in this regard.
According to the decision, no mobile tower will be allowed to be set up in and around the 50-meter radius of any school, college or the hospital.
It can be recalled that across the state more than 30,000 mobile towers are already set up and there was a protest in many areas.
“The meeting also decided to fix Rs.1,00,000 as the installation fee in Bengaluru. It will be Rs.35,000 in the other towns and city corporation limits. In villages, it will be Rs.15,000,” informed DCM Dr G Parameshwar after the meeting.
The meeting also decided to form district level committees across the state to hold an inquiry on the complaints registered by the general public. This committee will have members from all the government agencies and the civil society.
