No sale of liquor during weekend curfew: Excise Min Gopalaiah

Bengaluru: Excise Minister K. Gopalaiah said there will be no sale of liquor for next two days across the State starting from the night of Friday January 7.

Speaking to reporters here on Friday January 7, Gopalaiah said that after discussion, it has been decided that there will not be sale of liquor during weekend curfew. The officials have been instructed to issue an order to this effect,” he added.

The decision has been taken as there is sudden surge in Covid cases in the State. The liquor shop owners’ plea could not be considered due to prevailing situation, he clarified.
