No tie-up with any party for the sake of power in ULBs: HDK

Bangalore: The Janata Dal(S) will not enter into any understanding with any party  including the BJP, Congress and  KJP for the sake of power in the local administrative bodies. If we cannot go on our own, we will play the role of a responsible opposition, said State JD(S) President and former CM HD Kumaraswamy.He said so during the release of a book ‘Nirdharitha Nayaka’ (Decisive Leader).

KumaraswamyA meeting  will be called on 18th March by JDS  in the Palace Grounds of all those who were successful and those were not successful in which instructions will be given that we wouldn’t make compromise with any party, he stated.
 
JDS has done commendable work in the local Institutions.  In the Vidhana Sabha Constituency votes obtained, JDS is very much equal to Congress, he stated.

On March 19, JDS Senate Party Meeting will be held and the selection of 160 to 170 candidates for the constituency process would get completed.  On March 22, the first list of the candidates would be make known, he said.

The convention being organized for the release of the list of candidates, an oath would be taken up in the presence of 2,000 party workers professing to work honestly. The background of the candidates, their assets would be released.   Those having criminal background would be denied tickets. Prior to availing tickets,  everything would be scanned, he said. After releasing the list of candidates, instructions would be imparted as to how they need to work for another 2 months, he said.

The existing MLAs would be availed tickets. A couple of changes being likely, in Madhugiri the candidate who had to contest earlier  shall be given ticket.  So, Anitha Kumara Swamy would be made to contest from Chenna Patna over the insistence of  the Party Workers, he said.

Sufficient number of people  who were open to Operation Kamala, Operation Hastha are waiting to come to the party. But all those desiring to come in wouldn’t be considered, he said.

Those who already held offices including BJP and other Party desirous of joining JDS wouldn’t be considered. If the Second Stage Leaders of Janatha Parivar origin  are willing to join the party, they would be welcomed, he stated.
