Bengaluru: After Prajwal Revanna, and Nikhil Kumaraswamy, now JD (S) is all set for another “grandson” entry. Suraj Revanna, son of former Minister H. D. Revanna will be the party candidate for the upcoming MLC election from the Hassan constituency.
He will file a nomination on November 19.
Earlier, Bhavani Revanna wanted to contest to enter the Vidhana Soudha. However, party decided against her candidature. Instead Suraj Revanna is now made as party candidate. Thus, speculation of Suraj’s entry into politics finally comes to rest with this confirmation.
According to sources, former Prime Minister H. D. Deve Gowda was against his grandson’s candidature. However, owing to the pressure from the family he agreed for Suraj’s candidature.
