Bengaluru: Baffled by a whatsapp message attributed to him, Infosys Co-founder Narayana Murthy resorted to making a FB post to clear the air.
A Whatsapp message showing Narayana Murthy delivering a speech in praise of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
However, Narayanamurthy resorted to FB to clear the confusion and to state that he had nothing to do with the post, which was being circuclated over the last few days in his name.
“While I have respect for the PM, as evinced in my various interviews over the past couple of years, this message/ speech is fake. This style of prose is not reflective of how I think, write, or speak,” he said.
Interestingly, Murthy’s name had figured in a fake post even in July. He had then taken to Twitter to clarify on that post linked to Parsees. He had tweeted on July 12:?“I am told a fake speech being circulated on Parsees on my name. I am not the author. I have respect for Parsees, Ambani, Birla and Mittal.”
In a television debate on intolerance in October, Murthy had said there was considerable fear in the minds of minorities, and that no country can make economic progress unless it removed strife and reassured its minorities.
