Bengaluru: The Rajarajeshwarinagar police have booked a numerologist on the charge of cheating and outraging the modesty of a woman in Rajarajeshwarinagar.
The police sources said that Aryavardhan Guruji, who runs Aryavardhan Numerology Office at KG Nagar, is accused of misbehaving with a woman who was learning numerology under his guidance. According to the police, the complainant, who was from Andhra Pradesh had registered for two courses in numerology and had paid Rs 1.50 lakh and Rs 24,000 for the course.
The police said that Aryavardhan Guruji had reportedly told her that he would repay the fees if the courses did not benefit her. When she eventually asked for a refund, he refused to repay. When she and her husband want to his flat to demand the money, he allegedly misbehaved with her.
The police have registered a case.
