Bengaluru: An incident of online job fraud has come to light when a 48-year-old man in the City lodged a complaint to the police here.
The man duped of Rs. 11 lakh has been identified as Hoskote’s Bidarahalli resident Naresh Kumar. He has complained that he was cheated to the tune of Rs. 11 lakh by online fraudsters, who promised him a job abroad.
The job offer was made through e-mail back in February 2021 and subsequently he was swindled of the money in the form of payments in instalment.
He was asked to contact a person named Joseph, who instructed Naresh to send his resume, passport details, and medical fitness certificate.
