Bengaluru: Even though Covid 19 cases are increasing day by day, most of the patients are refusing to get admitted at the Covid 19 Care Centers (CCCs). Instead, they are preferring home isolation. According to the experts this is also contributing to the spread of the infection.

According to the data, there are 2,467 bed available in the CCCs. However only 701 are filled. Even though the government is setting up new centres, people are not coming forward to get admitted.

Presently 28 CCCs are functional in the city alone. The idea of setting up of these CCCs is to ensure that the patients will not need additional support as the day progresses.

It can be recalled that at the time of Covid 19 first wave also, the government CCCs failed to attract the people.
