Bengaluru: In a significant move, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared August 23 as ‘National Space Day,’ underlining India’s commitment to space exploration. During his engagement with the country’s space agency, ISRO, PM Modi also unveiled the name of Chandrayaan 3’s landing site as ‘Shivshakti.’
PM Modi also took the opportunity to announce the designation of the site where the Chandrayaan 2 mission unfortunately crashed. This location will now be known as ‘Tiranga’, a name that resonates with the national flag.
The announcements were made on Saturday, underscoring the Prime Minister’s engagement with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and his commitment to the country’s space exploration efforts.
