Bengaluru: The special police team led by G M Kantharaj, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Jayanagar sub-division and Shashidhar S D, Police Inspector, Basavanagudi police station nabbed two persons and recovered Rs 15 lakh worth gold jewellery, Rs 4,350 cash, and Rs 10 lakh worth Maruthi Swift Dzire and a Scooty Pep vehicle from the accused.
According to a release from Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru South, based on a information provided by Raja alias Japan Raja (39), an accused in a theft case, the police team nabbed Khaja Mohinuddin Pattekar (28) of 3rd Cross, Chikkabasti near Jnanabharathi, Bengaluru and recovered 501 grams of gold jewellery worth Rs 15 lakh and Rs 4,350 cash from the accused. With this, the police have solved seven theft cases reported in JP Nagar, Subramanyapura, Adugodi and Basavanagudi police station limits.
The police team also nabbed Balaraju alias Balu (28) from 4th Cross, Shivaji Road, near Elgin talkies, Shivajinagar and recovered Maruthi Swift Dzire car, Scooty Pep vehicle, two laptops and three mobile phones from the accused. The police said the accused stolen the mobile phones, Maruthi Swift Dzire and Scooty Pep vehicle in Mahadevapura police station limits.
