Bengaluru: According to sources, residents of Bharathinagar, near Cox Town in central Bengaluru, organised a protest on Tuesday November 30 to draw attention to the poor condition of roads in their locality.
They got two priests to perform puja on potholes in the hopes of pressuring the civic body to repair the unsafe roadways. Residents have complained specifically about Charles Campbell Road, which connects Shivajinagar, Fraser Town, and Murphy Town, claiming that the one-kilometre road is filled with potholes. The road is used by approximately 50,000 persons every day.
According to sources, the protesters has demanded that the BBMP officers visit the spot.
