The area which houses several software companies has traffic flow 24 hours. “It is a common sight here. The roads are very poor. The condition worsens during rains when the water clogs the road and fills the potholes,” said Srinivasa, a shop-keeper to sources.
“A lot of people have close shaves due to bad roads. The authorities have covered the spot with cement mix and stones which has made it dangerous,” said Shekhar, a techie, who travels on the road often.
The civic corporation, which had promised pothole-free roads under the Rs. 1,500 crore Nagarothana scheme, blames the monsoon for its failure to fill the nearly 4,000 potholes that dot the city’s major roads.
