Bengaluru: In a goodwill gesture, Indya Estates organisation has extended financial help to the bereaved family of N Harish who recently made a request to donate his organs after his body was cut into two pieces in a deadly accident last week.

The owner of Indya Estates Mansoor Ahmed handed over a two bedroom apartment to Harish’s mother Geethamma through Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. The documents were handed over on Saturday. Minister T B Jayachandra was present on the occasion.

Harish N, a resident of Gubbi in Tumakuru district, was ripped into two parts after he was run over by a lorry at Thippegondanahalli near Nelamangala (National Highway-4) last Tuesday morning, February 16.

He was working in a private company in Whitefield in the city. He had been to his village to cast his vote during the Zilla and Taluk Panchayat elections when the accident took place.

Even as he was battling for life, the last wish of the youth was to donate his organs.

However, his eyes were the only organs that could be donated. They were received by Narayana Netralaya.
