Pro-Kannad activists picket Governor’s residence,demand Goa govt dismissal

Bengaluru: Vatal Nagaraj-led Kannada activists picketed Governor’s residence today demanding dismissal of Goan government for the atrocities committed against Kannadigas in that state.

The activists under the banner “Kannada Okkoota” demanded the Karnataka State government to release Rs 2 Crore relief to the displaced Kannadigas in Baina beach area of Karnataka.

Picketing Governor’s residence, they demanded the dismissal of Goan government for the atrocities committed against Kannadigas living in Baina beach few days ago.

In a sudden move, the Goan government had evicted all families living in Baina beach area using heavy earth moving equipment.

Dr. Rajkumar Fans Association President S R Govindu, Karnataka Rakshana Vedike leaders Praveen Shetty, Kannada Sene president K R Kumar, Kannada Jagrathi Sene State Chief Manjunath Dev, Kannada activist K V Harish Gowda and many others took part.
