Bengaluru: A thorough probe would be ordered if Dingaleshwara Swamiji provides details on his claim of paying commission for getting government grants, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Speaking to mediapersons on Monday April 18, Bommai said that “Dingaleshwara Swamiji was a very respected seer and being a head of the matha, it is not enough if he issues a statement. We would appreciate if he provides as to who demanded commission so as to substantiate his allegations to help thoroughly investigate, he said.
Meanwhile, he said that the State Government has decided to procure additional 1.14 lakh metric tonnes of ragi under the Minimum Support Price scheme. Already 2.1 lakh metric tonnes of ragi has been procured on farmers’ demand in some districts, and now an additional 1.14 lakh metric tonnes has been purchased expending Rs. 487 Crore.
