Bengaluru: Revenue Minister R. Ashok informed on Thursday April 21 that the State Government has decided to slash the property guidance value across the State by 10 per cent for another three months, from April 25 to July 24.

The government had reduced the value by 10 per cent for three months, from January 1 to March 31, to allow people to complete registrations as soon as possible.

“During Covid’s challenging times, we reduced stamp registration charges. More registrations have happened since we lowered (the guidance value) by 10 per cent from January 1. The government has also generated revenue, and the public has benefitted,” he added.

He said that this will apply to the sale and acquisition of all types of properties. “Orders have been made in this regard following discussions with Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.”

The Minister also said that it is an offer for those who want to buy time with a General Power of Attorney (GPA) and property agreements, as well as those who want to register their properties, he said.
