Bengaluru: In a big embarrassment to the opposition Congress, Afzalpur Block Congress President Mahantesh Patil has been arrested by CID in connection with exams held for Police Sub Inspector (PSI) appointment scam.
The CID officials are looking for his brother R. D. Patil whose involvement is also suspected in this scam. The Congress was planning to hold Statewide protest in connection with this scam as BJP leader by name Divya from Kalaburugi was named in this scam. However, now this scam has reached the door-step of the party leaders.
According to the sources, a few more politicians are likely to be arrested by CID in the coming days in connection with the scam.
