Bengaluru: The State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested the main accused in Police Sub-Inspectors, Divya Hagaragi, who was absconding for the last 18 days.
She was arrested by the sleuths near Pune by a special team of CID at 1.00 am on Friday April 28. The team was led by DCP Prakash Rathod.
A Kalaburugi Court had issued arrest warrant against her and five other accused in connection with the scam.
It can be recalled here that CID officers from the State have been handed over the probe into a scam in the examination to recruit 545 PSIs.
Six police teams were formed for arresting Divya Hagaragi as the ruling BJP was repeatedly questioned by Congress and alleged that it is giving shelter to her.
