Bengaluru: Supplementary examinations for Pre-University course will be conducted early this year and is slated to begin on June 8 and end on June 20.
The last date for paying the fees for the supplementary examination is May 15. Students have time till May 14 to seek revaluation; the fee is Rs. 1,670 per subject.
For the first time, the Department of Pre-University Education has introduced online payment facility for scanned copy and revaluation fees. Other key deadlines are May 14 for re-totaling (no fee) and May 7 to apply for scanned copies of answer scripts (Rs. 530 per subject).
PU lecturers to boycott classes
The 2018-2019 academic year is slated for an early start. The Department of Pre-University Education (DPUE) has said that second pre-university classes will begin on May 2; the first PU classes will begin on May 14. Thimmaiah Purle, president of the Karnataka State Pre-University College Lecturers’ Association has said that they would boycott the classes as the lecturers on evaluation duty did not get adequate holidays. Many of the private pre-university colleges have also informed the department that they would need more time to start their admissions.
