Bengaluru: Bengaluru Development Minister K J George inaugurated the bicycle stand and bicycle service started by Citizens for Sensibility in association with Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), at Sanjay Nagar on Saturday.
Speaking to media person on the occasion, BBMP Commissioner N. Manjunath Prasad clarified that the BBMP didn’t provide any financial support to the company. But, 15 places in Sanjay Nagar have been identified for the project, and permissions have been given to the company to launch their service. In the first stage, 60 bicycles have been provided for the facility.
“To utilize the service, one has to download zoom car app from Google Play store and select ‘pedal’ and transfer money via Paytm. Presently, the rate is fixed at Rs.2 per hour,” he added.
