Bengaluru: Indira Canteens which has been serving breakfast and meals at affordable prices in the state capital is planning to include ‘Ragi mudde’ in its menu soon.
Raggi Mudde happens to be one of the traditional and relished dishes in South Karnataka and is currently being served in the ‘Namma Appaji Canteen’, located in Hanumanthanagar since the day of its inception.
The State Agriculture Minister Krishna Byre Gowda revealed that discussions are ongoing with the BBMP to include ragi nudde in the menu.
Gowda, who is spearheading the millet movement opined that other staple foods like ragi rotti, ragi idly and other millet-based dishes too can be included in the menu at the canteens.
