Bengaluru: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will visit the prestigious Mount Carmel College in the city to interact with college students on Wednesday, November 25.
At a press meet held at the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee office, State Congress president Dr G. Parameshwar said, “Rahul Gandhi is visiting this prestigious college after he was invited by the students union as well as the college management. This programme is purely private, he will be interacting with students for about two hours and return to Delhi in the evening.”
CM Siddaramaiah and Home minister Dr G. Parameshwar will be attending the event.
“Gandhi will be arriving in Bengaluru by the 8:45 am flight from Delhi. Most senior leaders will meet him at BIAL. He will head to Kumara Krupa guest house, where he will stay for about an hour and then go straight to Mount Carmel College,” he said.
Dr Parameshwar said that due to SPG norms, the media would not be able to cover this event except Delhi based news agency ANI whose representative will be accompanying Gandhi to cover the event. “Gandhi may address the local media soon after his event is over, outside Mount Carmel college,” Dr. Parameshwar said.
