Ramesh Jarakiholi’s assets drop to 32 cr according to nomination papers

Bengaluru: Ramesh Jarakiholi, the rebel leader who had declared assets worth Rs 122.77 cr in 2018, has become poorer by several crores in a matter of just one year.

Jarakiholi, who recently filed his nomination papers to contest on the BJP’s ticket from the Gokak constituency in the by-polls, has this time, declared assets worth Rs 32.27 crores.

He has declared immovable properties worth Rs 11.29 cr in his name, immovable properties worth Rs 9.20 cr in his wife’s name and Rs 9.61 cr in his son Amarnath’s name. Movable property of Rs 21 cr, Rs 29. 26 cr and Rs 10 cr has been shown in his, his wife’s and his son’s names respectively. He is due to pay income tax of Rs 5.22 cr and his wife is due to pay Rs 2.56 cr.

He has further shown a loan of Rs 7.22 cr from the Bhimeshwara Bank, Rs 49.87 lakh from the Arihanth Credit Society and Rs 27 lakh from the Vishwakarma Co-op.

While he had mentioned properties worth Rs 15 cr in his elder son Santhosh’s name last time, his name has been skipped this time.
