Ramanagara: Police have found a few pages of what seems to be the death notes of Kunchagal Bande Math seer, in which he has accused some people of “harassing and blackmailing” him. Sri Basavalingeshwara Swami, the head of the Math in Kempupura of Magadi Taluk, is suspected to have hanged himself over “blackmail,” informed the police.
He was found hanging from the window grill of the puja house on the premises of the math on Monday October 24. The police claimed that an investigation is underway into a case of abetting suicide.
Police said that a few pages of his death note were found, and he named the people who he said were harassing and blackmailing him by assassinating his character.
The people listed and those who spoke with the seer frequently at the math and over the phone will be interrogated, informed the police.
