Ramnagar: The Karnataka Janasainya Sanghatana has withdrawn its support to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the 2023 Assembly elections, said District President B.C. Shivalingaiah.

Speaking to mediapersons at Bidadi town in the taluk, He said that, A decision was taken at a meeting held on December 15 to support the Aam Aadmi Party candidates in all the districts of the state in the 2023 Assembly elections as per the agreement to give ticket to Dr. K. Erriswamy, the founding state president of Karnataka Janasainya Sangathan, from Ballari constituency. However, the support extended across the state has been withdrawn as party cheated by not giving a ticket to the organisation’s State president Dr K Erriswamy.

The Karnataka Janasainya had decided to extend support to the Aam Aadmi Party in the state in the 2023 assembly elections as it was fighting against corruption across the country. It was in this context that Dr. K. Erriswamy worked hard to organise the party. However, Aam Aadmi Party state president Prithvi Reddy cheated us by not giving ticket. “It is condemnable that the B form has been given to someone other than those who formed the party,” he said.

Hence, the state president has instructed to withdraw support in all the districts, further decision on which party to support in the general elections will be discussed at a state-level meeting soon, he said.
