Bengaluru: An auto driver has been detained by Bengaluru police for allegedly attempting to rape a doctor, here on Monday. Manikantha is the arrested.
On September 12, when the woman had hired his auto, he attempted to rape her. The victim escaped from him and immediately complained to HAL police.
On the same day, police had arrested one Achar, an auto owner. But later it was revealed that Achar had sold his auto to four people. The police have now successfully nabbed the present owner of the auto.
The woman who is employed in HAL private hospital as a Homeopathy doctor had hired an auto numbered KA-06, AB-7379 on September 12 at around 12pm night. After sometime when they reached a remote area, he stopped the vehicle and attempted to rape her. The woman who escaped from him then filed a complaint at HAL station.
