Bengaluru: Eleven boys who had run away from their houses for variousreasons have been rescued by Yeshwanthpur police with the help of NGO Saathi here on Thursday.
Boys aged between 10 and 15 years were rescued. The NGO handed over the children to their parents.
Four of them were from Karnataka, four from Uttar Pradesh and three from Bihar. All the children belonged to poor families.
Some of the boys said that they ran away because they were being beaten by their parents. One of the boys said he was beaten by a teacher as he was not going to school regularly, sources said..
