Bengaluru: M.T.B. Nagaraj, the Minister of Municipal Administration, has been appointed the Incharge Minister of Bengaluru Rural. He got the district after Revenue Minister R Ashok sacrificed the post.
M.T.B wanted to become Bengaluru Rural In-charge Minister since he left the Congress because the district is his home turf. Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa, on the other hand, had named Revenue Minister R Ashok as the minister in charge of the district.
MTB recently met with Ashok and expressed his desire. After knowing his desire, Ashok requested the CM to appoint Nagaraj as the district in charge minister. Based on his request, the CM now appointed M.T.B. Nagaraj as the new district in charge minister of Bengaluru Rural.
Even though the BJP State Unit made it clear that no minister will be appointed as the district in charge minister of the home district, Nagaraj has been exempted from this rule.
