Bengaluru: A few Congress Leaders who had switched to BJP as part of Operation Kamala are all set to return to the Congress sensing return of the Congress to power in the State in 2023. Latest addition is Dinesh Guligowda, a close associate of Minister S. T. Somashekar and Manther Gowda, son of Former Minister A. Manju.
Dinesh who is serving as the Special Officer to S. T. Somashekar is all set to contest as the Congress candidate from Mandya in the upcoming MLC election.
He met Senior Congress Leaders including Siddaramaiah, and D. K. Shivakumar.
Meanwhile Manther Gowda, son of Former Minister A. Manju, who switched from Congress to BJP will be the Congress candidate from Hassan in the MLC election. A. Manju is also trying to rejoin Congress. However Former CM Siddaramaiah is opposing his entry.
