Bengaluru: BBMP Chief Commissioner Gaurav Gupta has said on Monday December 20 that a system is being put in place to control the spread of Covid – 19.

He informed that staff members at all primary health centres and control rooms are on high alert for the expected increase in cases.

Citizens must also be alert and report any cases or anyone with symptoms. Visitors at parties and get-togethers should take precautions. Even when the number of cases rise, signs of control are seen, he added.

Expert committees have given their opinion on night curfews, movement restrictions, and a pass system for night movement.

Gupta said that the final decision would be made by the government.
