Bengaluru: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is not based on compromise, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and added “Let’s wait and see what happens.”
He was speaking to the mediapersons after a meeting of the BJP Legislature party in the City on Wednesday June 8. “The Rajya Sabha elections will be held as per the reservation. There is no situation to reach the quota for the fourth round. So the elimination process will begin. The votes of those who have gone out will be transferred,” he said.
If you look at today’s political situation, the BJP has an additional 32 votes and if voted in the second preference, it will get votes. The third candidate will be Lehar Singh. There has been an upswing in the party during the Rajya Sabha elections. It is difficult to say that this is how this election will happen. There have been changes in the interim of the election process, he said and added that should wait till then.
