Ruling coalition claims BJP uses WhatsApp to bag MLAs

Bengaluru: There are diverse uses of WhatsApp and the BJP has reportedly put the popular app to use to lure MLAs, considering a feature of Whatsapp that is in their advantage!

If the claims of the ruling coalition partners are to be believed then, the BJP has resorted to Whatsapp to bag their MLAs as the end-to-end encryption does not provide for recording the conversation in case the ruling party MLAs decide to collect proof against the BJP.

It is said that the Congress party has told its MLAs to record the conversation between them and the BJP callers so that they can fortify their claims. But, the BJP, which seems to have got an inkling about this direction has switched over to Whatsapp calls!

AICC general secretary and Karnataka in-charge KC Venugopal said state BJP president and former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa had spoken to some Congress MLAs via WhatsApp.

Venugopal is quoted in news18 saying, “Yeddyurappa himself is engineering defections. He is using WhatsApp to talk to our MLAs, but he won’t be able to split us and become the chief minister again.”

Yeddyurappa has rubbished the allegations levelled by the Congress
