Bengaluru: Home Minister Araga Jnanendra on Thursday February 3 said that children should neither wear hijab nor saffron shawls at schools and it is not to practice one’s religion. Further he has asked the police to keep watch on religious organisations who are trying to break the unity of the country.

Speaking to mediapersons here, he said school is a place of learning. There should be unity in the place, he added.

It can be recalled here that a row over wearing hijab has been persisitent at a Government Pre-University College at Udupi. Similarly, now another row has erupted in Kundapur PU College.
