Bengaluru: DG-IGP Praveen Sood has directed the police officers to send all the evidences/documents collected from a crime scene with in 15 days of any incident to the state forensic lab for scientific analysis.
He has issued a circular in this regard.
A decision has been taken in this regard to ensure that there are no technical hicccups on the path of justice.
According to the sources, there were complaints that materials are not scientifically packed and sent to forensic labs, beside a lot of delay in sending. This was delaying the investigation and also helping the accused to get bail easily.
Keeping all this in mind, now the DG-IGP has sent a direction to all the police officers and asked them to follow it strictly.
