Bengaluru: JDS state president, former primary and secondary education minister H Vishwanath observed that it is a shame that the state government is functioning without a full-time primary and secondary education minister.
Speaking at an event on the role of the education department in eradicating the child labour system, he stated that both people’s representatives and the officers are least bothered about the issues related to the students.
“After N Mahesh, there is no full time education minister in the state since last six months. It is a thing of great shame for us. We need a dedicated education minister,” he said.
He also stated that there are 14 MLCs from the education sector at the state legislative council. “But none of them talk about the real challenges of the education sector,” he said.
