Bengaluru: Women and Child Welfare minister Shashikala Jolle stated that soon, the department will take up a drive to identify and penalise fake NGOs misusing government grants.
“I will head this committee,” she said.
“There are many complaints that some NGOs are misusing the funds released for the welfare of women and children. It is time to put an end to this,” she said.
She also informed that efforts are underway to digitalize the entire functioning of the department to reach total transparent in the fund utilisation.
