Bengaluru: Former Union Minister and BJP MLA (from Vijayapura) Basanagauda Patil Yatnal urged the police to shoot those who cause violence and those who were anti-national elements.
Speaking to reporters in Vijayapura, he stated that those who died in Mangaluru police firing were not innocent. “The government should withdraw the compensation amount of Rs.10 lakhs and the amount should be given to the police,” he said.
Yatnal further alleged, “Anti-national elements are behind Mangaluru violence. We need to stop showing mercy to anti-national elements.”
He also stated that an investigation should be ordered into the role of Congress MLA UT Khader in the Mangaluru violence.
