Bengaluru: The police have sought an additional ten days of custody of the two prime accused in the SI Jagadish murder case on November 4. Their initial custody period ended today.Madhu and Harish Babu, two alleged killers of Sub-Inspector, were arrested and remanded to 14 days in police custody by a judge on Thursday, October 22.
Jagadish, sub-inspector of Doddaballapur, son of a retired police officer was stabbed to death while chasing the two bike thieves on October 16.
Madhu and Harish Babu were nabbed by the Nagpur crime branch police at Nagpur railway station in Maharashtra on October 19. They were arrested while they trying to leave for Hyderabad by train and thereby evade arrest.
Nagpur police, however, were alerted by the Bengaluru rural police and had circulated their pictures to their counterparts in neighbouring states. This reportedly helped in arresting both the accused.
