SI stabbed to death while trying to nab by bike thieves

Bengaluru: In a tragic daylight murder, the sub-inspector of Doddaballapur was stabbed to death by bike thieves whilst he was on duty and was chasing the criminals in Nelamangala, here on Friday, October 16 . Jagadish (34) is the deceased.

SI storyThe accused, Krishnappa, aged around 45 years, and Madhu, 25, hail from Shivamogga and have several cases of vehicle theft and burglary against them.

The SI was on duty when the unfortunate incident took place. He and four other constables were trying to catch the bike thieves. The accused Madhu reportedly stabbed the SI with a dagger when he tried to nab him. The accused then escaped with Jagadish’s service revolver.

Meanwhile, the police have launched a massive manhunt to nab the accused.

The deceased sub-inspector was living in Bengaluru with his wife and two children.
