Bengaluru: Former chief minister Siddaramaiah has decided to skip at least half of the winter session of the legislature at Belagavi, as he is flying to Malaysia to attend a friend’s wedding. He will be in Malaysia from December 10 to 14.
The BJP has planned an offensive to corner the Congress-Janata Dal (S) coalition. Several ministerial aspirants in the Congress are dissatisfied over the expansion of the Cabinet.
The opposition has been making allegations against Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy’s administration with regard to various issues of development and Siddaramaiah is expected to defend the alliance partner JD(S). His trip to Malaysia in such circumstances has raised eyebrows in the political circles.
The Congress legislators have expressed displeasure about their leaders including Siddaramaiah, for failing to protect the party’s interest in the coalition set up.
