Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is going ahead with his district-wise tour Sadhaneya Sambrama scheduled to commence from December 13.
Though the one-month tour of all districts is a government-sponsored programme meant to reviewing the budgetary announcements, Siddaramaiah will be using it to drum up support for the ruling party.
Siddaramaiah had initially planned to name his district tour Janashirvada yatre but he later changed its name as a section of party leaders, including Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president G Parameshwara, raised objection. The leaders are upset with the Chief Minister for not taking them into confidence before finalising the programme.
Further the Chief Minister clarified that he will be visiting all districts for only laying foundation stones for developmental works and that it has nothing to do with the party.
