Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda will address a joint press meet after a gap of 12 long years, on Saturday, October 20. This joint press meet is scheduled at 11 am.
According to the sources, the press meet is scheduled at Hotel Ashoka.
“The press meet will be followed by a joint Congress-JDS strategy meet on the upcoming by-election,” said Congress sources.
According to the party leaders, till 2006, HDD and Siddaramaiah had held several joint press meet, but after Siddu’s expulsion from the JDS in the year 2006, the equation between the two had not remain cordial. However, with the Congress and the JDS entering into a coalition, it has become inevitable for the two to come together.
