Bengaluru: On the occasion of Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s birthday on Thursday December 9, members of the Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress committee held a mass baby shower event in Bengaluru for 70 pregnant women.
KPYCC President M. S. Raksha Ramaiah and Former Minister K. J. George led the event. It was conducted at Dodda Banaswadi’s Anjaneya Temple.
The pregnant women, who are said to have been dressed in flower garlands and silk sarees, were given a “bagina” (offering) that symbolised peace and prosperity. The ceremony was also attended by a number of relatives and close friends.
